Here we are going to show you how to know the location of a web page without having to install another application on your computer, you only need to use your browser.
There are several web pages that we can use to check the location of a web server.
In some cases, we will be asked to enter the IP address of the web server and in other cases, the query can be made by entering the domain name of the server.
How to know the IP address of a web page
In case you do not know how to obtain the IP address of a web page, here is how to do it.
One of the ways to find out the public IP of a web page is to use the nslookup command.
From Windows you must do the following:
Click on the Start button and in the Search programs and files field type cmd and press the enter key, doing this will open the Windows MS-DOS console.
Next, you will have to execute the following command:
nslookup + domain name or web page.com

Doing this will result in the IP address associated with the site. In this case, several are shown because Google has many servers, but in general, we will see a single IP for the web page that we are consulting.
A second option may be to use the ping command.
Follow these steps:
in Windows press, the Start button, and in the Search programs and files field type the command cmd and press enter. As in the previous case, you will see that the Windows MS-DOS console opens.
Then write and run the following command:
ping + domain name or webpage.com
As a result, you will see the following message: “pinging website name.com [IP address]”

The IP address that appears in brackets is the one that corresponds to the page you are consulting.

whois.domaintools.com when you enter the site you will see a bar in which you will have to enter the IP address or domain name of the web page you want to consult and click the Search button.
This site will show you a lot of detailed information about the web page you are viewing.

whatsmyipadress.com At first this page will show you the data about your own IP and your location, but if you look at the top right of the screen you will see a text box in which you must enter the IP of the page on which you want to consult and then press the Search button. Then the page will show you a map with the location of the IP that you have entered in the search.
