Why is my Ring doorbell blinking blue?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions from Ring Doorbell owners; Fortunately, a doorbell with a flashing blue circle indicates that your doorbell system is charging.

There is no need to worry as the blinking blue circle LED is just an indicator showing that the doorbell is charging. When charging, it is recommended to give it a few hours before it is fully charged.

How to Charge your Ring Doorbell?

Charging your Ring Doorbell is relatively easy, and the best part is that you can recharge it a maximum of twice a year. Unlike the traditional doorbell, the Ring Doorbell is equipped with an amazing internal battery, so you don’t have to mess with cables, making the installation process more convenient.

Before recharging the Ring Doorbell, it is advisable to check the battery level and see if there is anything left using the Ring app on the phone.

Check the Battery Level

You can check the battery level in the upper right corner.
If the battery level is low and you want to recharge it, you will need to remove the doorbell from the mounting bracket.

To achieve this, you will start by removing two screws that are present at the bottom of the doorbell and then remove them by lifting them up. You will then take it inside and plug it into a power outlet or your computer.

Ring Doorbell is equipped with a micro-USB port that you will use to charge it.

To charge your Ring Doorbell, you will need a USB to AC adapter and then the blue LED ring light that is present on your Doorbell will turn on.

During this process, you will be able to see your battery level; Once connected successfully, the doorbell chime blinks blue during charging.

Before it is fully charged, it will take a few hours, it will be much longer if the battery level of your doorbell is almost depleted.
