Confused about how to schedule a meeting in Zoom? Here's a Guide

To all the advantages of Zoom that you have seen so far, is added the possibility of scheduling meetings.

Would you like to learn how to do it? Here is a guide.

Follow this step-by-step for scheduling meetings with Zoom

Step 1:

Either on Windows or Mac, the Zoom application shows a button with a calendar icon and the name Schedule, click on it.

Step 2:

The Schedule Meeting window will open to request the name of the meeting and the date and time to schedule.

In addition, it will allow you to enable some options such as automatically generating the meeting link, requesting a password from the participants, and some audio and video settings. Once you have adjusted each requirement, click on the Schedule button.

Step 3:

If in the Calendar options you selected Google Calendar, when you click on Schedule, the application will send you to your Gmail email account so that Zoom can access the calendar. Click Allow.

Step 4:

After authenticating the permission, the meeting will appear scheduled on your Google calendar.

Advanced Options

When scheduling the meeting, Zoom allows you to configure other more advanced options for your next meeting, including:

Enable the waiting room.
Enable entry of participants before the host.
Mute participants when entering.
Only authenticated users can join.
Record the meeting automatically.

In free accounts, the Locally option must be selected so that the file is saved on the computer and not in the cloud, since it is a function only of paid accounts.

For other issues, check these guides on Zoom’s support page.

Enjoy!
